I ran/hiked up squaw the other day. It is a little bit easier than Camelback and some other peaks in the area, but still enough for a good work out especially if you try and run what you can.
It is an easier hike, but I like it because you feel like you are actually climbing a peak because of the sharp rocks and cliffs.

Downtown phoenix. You feel like you are away and yet you are smack dab in the middle of town.
I found this rock that was pointing directly over to Camelback mountain! It must mean its time for me to do it again...

Its hard to see, but one of the best things in the birds. They must be going almost 100mph. The use the up drafts and the down drafts to play for hours. I'd hate to see what would happen if one of them crashed into someone.. like me! ouch!
I found a perfect seat in the rock cliff at the top that I sat in for a half an hour just thinking away. I can see all of the little hikers below.
