We hopped on the Triumph and road down to the Arizona Mining and Minerals Museum before heading over to the car show. Pretty cool place.
They have some mining history outside.
Mine truck tire.
Old ore shovel.
Cool little ore cart with shovel.
This steam engine is a pretty important one. It's built for ultra narrow gauge rails that ran in Clifton/Morenci area. The original ore train was pulled uphill by mules and then they would be put inside specially built cars. The train would coast down hill to the smelter using only gravity. This steam engine was especially built for these 20" narrow gauge rails and shipped out to AZ. Fortunately this one was saved.
Some good stuff!!
Okay, the rest of the museum is mostly minerals. I'd like to see more about the mining history so I could research some of the areas we travel to.
We grabbed some of the best Carne Asada on the planet at America's Taco and headed for the Barrett Jackson show.
We pulled up to the start of the cruise just as they were headed out.
To see one Bugatti Veyron is rare. To see two of them together is amazing.
Top Speed is 267.85 MPH. 0-60 in 2.5 seconds.
Purchase Price over $1 Million.
Here's a little video of some of the cars going by and stills from the show.
