Chicago in the summer

Here are some of my favorites from spending a month in Chicago this summer. Not a bad town. I like it. I could never live their. Too many people, no nature and very little in the way of freedoms. So, those are the negatives, now here are the positives. The sites! I picked up a classic bike to tool around town on. Great old hand made Raleigh with a Brooks seat. Photobucket Photobucket

The Wrigley building's are amazing.

A funky piece of at and science at the Field Museum.

The Field Museum was good, but wait until I show you the Science and Industry Museum. Nothing else in Chicago compares to that place from what I've seen. Around town. Photobucket Photobucket Trump. Photobucket Harbor on the bottom. Parking on the first floors and then condos on top. Photobucket Photobucket Photobucket Sears now the Willis tower. Photobucket Trippy architecture. Photobucket New and old. Joined together forever! Photobucket Photobucket The Perch on top of the gold dome was actually added after the building was finished in anticipation for Zeplins being the travel option of the future. It's a docking station! Photobucket Photobucket Yes, it's actual Gold Leaf. Wow. Photobucket Photobucket Photobucket This building seems simple until you notice the detail. Photobucket Photobucket You get good at walking along and pausing mid sentence to let the insanely noisy train go by. My hearing still isn't the same! Photobucket Off to the Science and Industry Museum. This place is insane! Photobucket Photobucket Photobucket Photobucket Tomorrow I'm actually going to the Unser racing museum here in Albuquerque. Funny that a car of this ABQ family is in Chicago! Photobucket Photobucket Photobucket SO SHUT UP! Photobucket Photobucket Photobucket Looks just like my Grandpa's gear. Photobucket So, there she is. The Nazi Submarine we were able to capture during WWII secretly. Because it was in secret the Nazi's didn't change their code and it helped us win the war. Photobucket Tiny people, big sub! Photobucket Photobucket Hole from gun fire. We shot the heck out of the sub trying to get them to surrender. We didn't want to shoot a torpedo and loose it. Photobucket Photobucket Yes, that is a real Nazi full size plane and a 727 jet! INSIDE. Photobucket The have an entire coal mine in the museum. Wow. Photobucket Photobucket Spitfire! Photobucket Racing plane! Photobucket Part of the coal mine. Photobucket Photobucket Early battery. Photobucket A terrifying early Fire Fighter mask. Complete with a whistle to communicate. Photobucket Not a bad view from the roof of home. Photobucket Photobucket Had to hit up a Cubs game and watch them beat up on the Arizona Diamondbacks. Argh! Photobucket Such a small stadium! It felt like a spring training game! Photobucket Bar top viewing. Photobucket Well, that's it for now. 1 more trip to make so we'll see what NEW stuff I can find!
